2005 Tasting Notes The 2005 Les Copains is a cofermted blend of equal part grenache and mourvedre with roughly 15% syrah. The syrah was fermented utilizing 75% whole clusters and a portion of the grenache had 50% stems included. The resulting wine has hints of face powder and white flowers accenting the rich blackberry and spice aromas. The mouthfeel is full and supple with spicey dark berry flavors intermingled with dusty "sous bois" earthy undertones. The wine finshes with fine grain powdery tannins and lingering freshy berry flavor. |
