Steve Williams has been managing and growing vineyards in the Anderson Valley for over twenty eyars. He was the first person in the valley to plant syrah and viognier on his own vineyard and we are thrilled to have finally contracted some of this fruit after two years of begging. Located twelve miles west of Philo, the syrah is planted on a steep terraced mountiantop with a full southern exposition to maximize the exposure in the very cool site. The viognier is equally compelling planted vertically up and down the nearly 60% slopes, every bit as steep as the vineyard of Cote Rotie and Condrieu.
