2005 Tasting Notes Those of you familiar with the wines of Hermitage, in particular those from Bessards, will find a similar iron-like ferrous thread in the wine. This is balanced with great dark berry fruits, blue flowers from the stem inclusion and hints of dark bittersweet chocolate. The structure and acidity in 2005 keep the wine in balance and give it some nerve but it remains supple at the same time. We would suggest decanting this wine before drinking one young over the next 2-3 years and it should do well aging in your cellar for 10-12 years. |
