2003 Tasting Notes

Gunflint, iron, minerals accent the dark berry fruit and floral aromas. The minerally, wet smoke and iron flavors emerge on the palate and accent the supple black currant fruit flavors. Tannins are well integrated and add a nice firm balance to the wine. The texture and flavor profile of the wine leans more toward the Rhone and is a wine sure to benefit from a few years in your cellar or a few hours in the decanter.
