Perched 1,400 feet high above the valley floor in the Yorkville Highlands, this syrah vineyard is located just shy of the southeastern end of the Anderson Valley. The vines are planted directly into exposed shale so thick that very little top soil is evident in the vine rows. The vines have struggled to get a foothold in this feeble soil but should render a truly site specific wine. |
