Catie's Corner is located in Russinan River Valley and promises to be an exciting source of Viognier for us. The 110R rootstock for this vineyard was planted in 1988 and budded to a Condrieu viognier clone in 1995. We have contracted this vineyard by the acre and Sara Lee Kunde has given us carte blanche on managing yields. We keep the fruit loads to one cluster per shoot to limit yields here to just under 3 tons/acre (45 hl/hec) to promote concentations and varietal complexity as much as possible.
