2008 Tous Ensemble Viognier, Mendocino County
$20 / btl
This viognier is sourced from new blocks of the McDowell Valley Vineyards in Mendocino County. Grapes are night picked to maintain cold temperatures and whole cluster pressed once they arrive to the winery. The wine is stainless steel fermented and lightly filtered before bottling.
Copain's appellation program is dedicated to producing top-quality wines which represent a blend from some of the best vineyards in the appellation. All of our vineyards are organically farmed. We produce our wines with the goal of being varietally correct, lower in alcohol and most importantly, food friendly.
2008 Tasting Notes
Ripe heady aromas and flavors of white flowers, stone fruits and honeycomb. Ample acidity keeps the palate clean, fresh and vibrant, finishing with subtle dried apricot and citrus notes. Like most viogniers, this is meant for earlier consumption, and should be great over the next year or two, but ideal for the warm summer months just ahead.
