What is Chris drinking during this holiday season? The 2010 Copain Kiser En Haut Pinot Noir!

My sister currently lives out in Louisville and has recently become engaged, so whenever she visits us in Petaluma it is special occasion that needs to be marked with a great bottle of wine.  As I am the wine worker of the family, the task of picking out that perfect bottle falls on my shoulders, naturally.

Meet the newest member of the Copain team! Quin Donahue - Enologist

As a kid growing up in Napa, I looked up to people working in the wine industry because they worked hard and it looked like they were having so much fun. Working with your hands and drinking wine? What’s not to love!? As it became time to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, I thought I would pursue my dream of becoming a winemaker. I decided to study Wine and Viticulture at Cal Poly, and chose to concentrate in Enology. I found out about a cellar position at Cambria Winery through a career fair, and began paying my dues.

Fall Releases

Each spring and fall, we share the latest releases of our wines with our Members. In many cases, due to limited quantities, these wines are only available to our Members. Before each shipment, we reacquaint ourselves with the wines to determine how they are progressing. This is a treat for us and a great way to see how the wines are developing as we prepare to share them with our friends. Yesterday afternoon, Assistant Winemaker Sarah Wuethrich and I dove into our fall collection, and I thought you would be interested in what we found.
