James Castañeda graduated from Brown University in Providence, RI in 2001. Upon graduating, he worked as a corporate income tax analyst. After two years on the east coast he trekked over to sunny California to seek a new career and found himself in the land of wines, Sonoma County. As a result, he joined the Copain family at the beginning of harvest 2004 as an intern. After his internship, he joined the Copain Wines team and headed up the mailing list and sales. With the upcoming arrival of the new winery in Healdsburg, he is now our tasting room manager.
