“Inky ruby. Pungent, smoke-accented aromas of cassis, boysenberry, cola, incense and violet, with a hint of cracked pepper adding lift... Really stains the palate, offering an array of floral and spice notes on the impressively long, chewy finish. On the primary side, which is no great surprise, but this highly promising Syrah seems set for a slow and positive evolution in the bottle.”- Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, May/June '11
Located just 12 miles from the coast on the west side of Paso Robles, the proximity to the ocean helps regulate the high temperatures often associated with this area. Fortunately, nightime temperatures often dive into the low 50’s, allowing vines to recover. These large temperature fluctuations contribute to a desirable sugar to acid ratio.
