Cerise vineyard is our second in Bonneville and equally as compelling yet different than the Dennison Vineyard. Perched high above the town, this vineyard is primed to produce intense hillside Pinot Noir. Cerise, named after the grower's wife, is planted on multiple small ridgetop knolls to various clonal and rootstock selections. The vines have struggled to get a foothold in the unripped hillside but have managed to finally produce some intense Pinot Noir fruit. We have contracted, by the acre, various sections of these knolls that will provide us with a wide range of fruit complexities. As with all of our vineyards, the grower has agreed to farm organically and allow us to play a role in vineyard management. Our involvement will continue to be year round from pruning to petiole analysis to post harvest decisions there by ensuring the best quality fruit. |
