Our Winemaker Ryan Zepaltas has an update to share with you:

"Reporting live from the heart of the Anderson Valley. We now have the growing season underway. Due to a warm February we saw budbreak about a month earlier than average. This makes us nervous as we are not past the frost threat stage. We’ve had some cold nights in the past couple weeks, and our frost protection systems were working hard those nights to protect the newly emerging crop. So far so good! After this warm February we settled into cool temps in march that have slowed growth in the vines. We are really looking forward to sunshine and warmer weather to cheer us along with the vineyards up!

One of the wines that I am most proud of in this release is the inaugural release 2017 Edmeades Pinot Noir. We source from vines that were planted in the early 2000’s. This wine is so delicious right now. There is a lot of wild berry fruit character, plush yet still in that bright energetic, style that you expect from Copain Pinot Noir. This will age gracefully, but there is no reason not to pop a bottle to taste for yourself."
