Situated at 2200' above the town of Boonville, and planted to numerous clonal selections; this Chardonnay has bright acid an aromatic quality of lemon with Golden Delicious apples.

Vintage Notes:

2018 was a very cool growing season that allowed us to leisurely pick grapes over a long period of time. This cool weather allowed us to have many different wines picked at various levels of ripeness and flavor development, while maintaining ideal sugar levels. This gave us a diverse group of wines to blend from at our blending session.

Vineyard Notes:

The Skycrest vineyard is planted on the eastern slopes of Anderson Valley outside the small town of Booneville. Planted at a staggering 2100 feet above sea level, this vineyard looks down on the rolling fog cover that blankets the valley below. The steep hillside with a southwest aspect allows this vineyard to receive the warmer afternoon sun exposure during the growing season. The high altitude, however, provides a thinner, cooler atmosphere that allows the fruit to enjoy a long hangtime and retain its acids

Wine Profile:

Aromas: Brioche, white peach, lemon curd

Palate: Lemon peel, toasted pie crust, Asian pear
