Fun fact: Copain's Brousseau vineyard lies in the Chalone appellation that made history in the 1976 Paris Tasting. This prime, marine-influenced location, coupled with 40-year-old vines, has resulted in a wine with a round texture and complexity. On the palette, a bit tighter than previous vintages, but the same expressions of apple, marzipan, and wet stones. As we migrate from the old vines as they’ve aged out, into the newer plantings, this vineyard has found a renewed energy that we are so excited about. Truly a Chardonnay for the ages! Pair this with a classic roasted chicken for maximum enjoyment.
