We never tire in the hunt for new and interesting Pinot Noir sites throughout the best terroir of CA, and we were thrilled to cross paths with Taylor Peak. At high elevation above Bennett Valley in Southeast Santa Rosa, Taylor Peak is adjacent to Sonoma Coast AVA, but doesn't quite qualify to be (because it is literally 50 feet from the border.) Taylor Peak however enjoys the same cool, coastal breezes and beautiful sunshine as the Sonoma Coast.

This wine is a great juxtaposition of voluptuous layers of fruit intertwined with structured tannins. This wine will go great with classic Pinot Noir pairings, but don't be afraid to put this up against steak or braised dishes.
