Description
A native red grape of France's Jura region near the Alps, Trousseau Noir is almost unheard of in Californian vineyards. Copain grows this variety on steep hillsides in its Russian River Valley winery estate vineyard as well as in Anderson Valley's cool-climate "Deep End." Fermented in stainless steel and aged for six months in neutral French oak barrels, this wine is light, elegant and balanced. Aromas of dried cherries, pomegranate and dried herbs greet you on the nose, followed by a generous palate of white strawberries, fresh raspberries and earthy notes. Your chance to explore a wine rarely produced outside of France. Thirsty for Trousseau Noir? We are!
