Les Voisins and Estate Wines

Each "Les Voisins" wine is a poignant reflection of the nuanced terroir from which it hails: the Pinot Noir from the Deep End of Anderson Valley, and Syrah from Yorkville Highlands. In the tradition of “village” wines in Burgundy, these expressive, sophisticated wines do, indeed, reflect their pedigree. The Estate wines offer an opportunity for curious wine drinkers to experience non-traditional varietals rarely produced beyond French borders.

2015 Picpoul Blanc

Directly translated from French, Picpoul means "lip stinger." This relatively obscure varietal produces wines with bright acidity and minerality, underpinned by a clean citrus flavor. Our first release of Picpoul is intensely aromatic, with a perfumed nose of fresh herbs, citrus zest and white flowers, followed by a mouthwatering finish.

2014 Pinot Gris

Our second release of Pinot Gris from our Klindt Vineyard in Anderson Valley delights with aromas of ripe quince, honeysuckle, and apple blossom. The palate unfolds in an elegant balance of crisp Anjou pear, fresh peach, and grapefruit zest. In the style of an Alsatian white, delicate tropical notes, rich white flowers and stone fruits are the core of this vibrant wine.

2014 Les Voisins Chardonnay

Our first release of Les Voisins Chardonnay is an enticing blend from our neighboring vineyards in Anderson Valley. Three cool-climate vineyards were selected for this Chardonnay, which displays the beauty of the vintage. The flavors of yellow apple, tangerine and lightly toasted oak lead to a slight creaminess on the palate. Lean lemon custard, jasmine and crushed stone unravel in the glass leading to a dynamic finish.

2014 North Coast Trousseau

Our 2014 release of Trousseau hails from our Healdsburg Estate and the fenceline of our estate vineyards in the deep end of Anderson Valley. The wine is a beautiful marriage of the dark fruited earthy character of Anderson Valley, and the mineral-driven sandstone soil of our Russian River Valley hillside plot. With a light ruby red color, pronounced pink blossoms, Morello cherry, and juniper aromas unfold. A lush, soft palate is delicately layered with fine tannins, which frame flavors of peppered strawberry, pomegranate and Earl Grey tea.

2013 Les Voisins Syrah

Aromatically dazzling, this wine shows complex notes of black currant, crushed flowers, peat and white pepper. The savory flavors are rich yet light and restrained, with a long, drawn-out finish. The rich concentrated palate shows mesmerizing texture along with purity and an incredible sense of place. The dense flavors are redolent of huckleberry, red plum and crushed stone, resonating the rocky hillsides of the Yorkville Highlands. It’s an impressive wine whose best years are yet to come.
