The SeaLift Vineyard is located in Annapolis, four miles from the Pacific Ocean. This wine is brooding with dark fruit flavors as well as cacao and dark chocolate.

Vintage Notes:

The 2016 growing season had an early start partly due to winter and spring rains, where the vines were reinvigorated after the drought conditions from previous years. The warm and dry summer contributed to an earlier than normal start to harvest with a slightly above average yield and a normal ripening curve.

Vineyard Notes:

The SeaLift vineyard is planted in what the locals term the “true Sonoma Coast” in what’s known as the Fort Ross/Seaview AVA. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean provides a long, cool growing season each year. Planted at 1200 feet above sea level, the SeaLift Pinot Noir vines are planted at the fog line and are on a southwest facing aspect, giving the grapes exposure to the later, warmer sun. The loam top soil provides excellent drainage to ensure we get concentrated fruit come harvest.

Wine Profile:

Aromas: Rainer cherry, black tea leaves, fennel

Palate: Medium weight on the palate. Fresh raspberries, cranberry, cocoa
