Planted at the "deep end" of Anderson Valley, near Navarro, CA, this vineyard produces a wine that expresses elegant notes of cherry and raspberries.

Vintage Notes:

The 2014 vintage started dry but abundant February rain came just in time to break the winter drought. Warm spring temperatures encouraged an early bud break that kept vineyard development ahead of
schedule through the entire season. Our harvest was condensed beginning September 3 and concluding on September 24. For the first time, our Pinot Noir and Syrah harvest overlapped. Abundant sunshine
and cool evenings created near ideal conditions for ripe and balanced wines with yields falling in the normal range.

Vineyard Notes:

The Kiser vineyard is approximately 10 miles from the ocean in the deep end of Anderson Valley. ‘Combe de Grès’, French for “sandstone comb, or small ravine of sandstone”, derives from a visibly
distinct section of hillside vines where a narrow ravine sweeps down from the upper block to the lower block. Unlike the upper block’s pure decomposed sandstone and the lower block’s rich clay, the small
ravine is laden with gravelly sandstone. These unique characteristics provided the optimal setting for us to graft “sélection massale” clones in 2007.

Wine Profile:

Aromas:: Rainer cherry, macerated raspberries, juniper
Palate: Medium weight on the palate. Raspberry, plum, Mission fig, rhubarb
